Joel Wells, Jr. is a passionate educator and community leader who currently serves as a Lab Teacher and Site Lead at The Phoenix School – The Center. A graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in media studies, Mr. Wells brings creativity, empathy, and a strong sense of purpose to his work with students each day.
In addition to his work in education, Mr. Wells is the President of Voices of Power, a non-profit organization based in Humble, Texas. Founded in 2021, the organization is dedicated to creating supportive environments and providing resources that empower children with special needs to reach their full potential. Under Mr. Well’s leadership, Voices of Power continues to foster inclusive, compassionate spaces that nurture growth and inspire children to thrive as active, confident members of society.
Mr. Wells' deep interest in sports and athletics influences his approach both in and out of the classroom—emphasizing teamwork, resilience, and personal development. Whether through education or advocacy, he remains committed to uplifting youth and building stronger communities.
