Southwest Public Schools is preparing to transition from the Early Exit Bilingual Program to the Dual Language One-Way Program model in 2024! Dual language immersion programs provide students with an enriched education that is beyond traditional schooling, a differentiated challenging and engaging experience that supports the goals of dual language education: developing bilingualism and biliteracy.
Benefits for our students enrolled in Dual Language One-Way Program include:
*Spanish Credit: students earn a Spanish Language High School credit in elementary (if participates in program for 5 years).
*Seal of Biliteracy: students earn the seal of biliteracy upon completing high school
